Dear Coach:
Thank you for your email. FLL will no longer be commenting on a team’s strategy or legal questions. Every team must carefully review the missions and rules and all Robot game updates. If something is not expressly prohibited, then the action is allowed. If a team develops a strategy, they should be prepared to explain that strategy to a referee if asked at an event. Remember the decision of the referee will be final.
A bin that was placed in a team’s west transfer by the robot successfully– but is not brought completely into the other’s team safety – has met the criteria in Mission 04 sortting and each matching bar in the bin would be scored – 7 points per matching bar.
Please review the Robot Game Updates to find the answer to your last question.
Have a great season,
FLL Teams

Subject: Robot Game Clarifications
Hi,
My team would like to have a few questions clarified regarding Missions 3 and 4:
For Mission 3, are we allowed to take the truck off its guide (i.e. pick it up and place it elsewhere) or not use it at all?
In Mission 4, what is the scoring for a bin that we have placed on our West Transfer and the other team has retrieved but has not brought it completely into their Safety? Do we still score 7 points for each bar, as if the bin were still on our West Transfer? Also, do the bars in the other team's Safety score individually at all, or do they only score as part of the 60 points for a bin in the other's Safety?
Thank you for your time!
Sincerely,
Moriah Lim
