Hi Teams,
So sorry for the data dump. Lots of information and I want to give you time to digest it before the championship.
Since all 48 teams confirmed quickly, we now have individual team schedules. Please check your attached schedule for any issues like missing a judging, too few matches (should be 5), etc. You may have to scroll down to find your team. We’ve never had a previous problem with schedules. These schedules can be distributed to team members, grandparents, parents and others. Very handy.
I believe you have at least 15 or 20 minutes between any event. You are covering at the far reaches less than ¼ of the school. High school students have 4 minutes between classes and cover much more space. This is plenty of time between events.
There are 8 match tables in the gym – Red 1, Red 2, Blue 1, Blue 2, Green 1, Green 2, Purple 1 and Purple 2. Teams need to line up in the corresponding box against the wall of the gym before proceeding to the tables. Boxes on the floor will be marked and outlined in the respective tape color. Tables will be marked too. We will have a few LigerBots directing “traffic”. Only team members are allowed on the gym floor.
Below is the tentatively Pit map – somewhat chronological order. Some teams want/need to sit together so some numbers are mixed up. Please verify you’re on the map and if requested, sitting near the other team(s). Entrance into the Pit is from the bottom. Tables will be marked with your team number and maps will be on the wall. Tables are 12’ x 2.5’ with a small gap at 6’. Two teams share a long table. There are plenty of chairs too.
Please email me if you want to order pizzas. 16” cheese pizza, 8 slices for $15 each; 16” pepperoni pizza $17 and 12” gluten free cheese pizza $17. Pre-order by Thursday 12/15.
Clarifications:
Every team needs to hand in their FIRST YPP documentation at registration. Basically, if you log in to your team account on firstinspires.org, you should have a roster of all the completed consent/release forms. You need to print and bring it with you, or manually fill out and turn in consent forms. In the past I wasn’t clear on this.
