Less than 2 days before the Eastern MA championship! Everyone on our side is excited to host the event. It’s sponsored by the high school FRC team, LigerBots. All of us will be wearing the team orange tie dye. If you have a question, seek us out.
Pizzas – orders due today. This is for your convenience. Pizzas will arrive a little before lunch. You can bring your own lunch too. Please verify pizza order is correct – see below (I’m dyslexic J). Please cash only unless we made prior arrangements. School teams can have difficulties dealing with cash.
Please verify tournament money status. Below was updated with Wednesday’s mail. My snail mail is slow L I know one school system will send out a check when the board meets next week, another team is bringing it to the tournament. If you need a receipt, please tell me (2 teams said yes). If you need a receipt for pizza, please tell me. Receipts will be handed out at check in.
Medals for all participants will be handed out during the day in the Pit. I will use the head count from the google form filled out with Colleen (see below). If the number of students on your team is different, please email me by Friday. I know Colleen’s number is the number of team members attending the tournament, not necessarily the number of students on the team.

Only one person needs to check in, the rest of the team can proceed to the Pit in the cafeteria. Ask a LigerBot, anyone in an orange tie dye shirt, for directions. Please remember to bring your team’s FIRST YPP documentation. If team members have not filled out consent/release forms on line, then you need to bring a hard copy of their consent/release form to this event.

· Click on “Manage Youth Members and Roster”
· Click on “Full Roster” in the left menu
· Click on “Print Roster” if it’s been completed online, or “Print Blank Roster” to do it manually.
A pit map will be in the front of the Pit – somewhat chronological order (wanted to group certain teams together for logistic reasons). Attached pit map with following changes – teams 18100 and 25740 are swapping and 4801 will be in the blank table. Team names will be on tables. Remember, you get half of a double table – 6’ x 2.5’. Please keep you items – coats, spare parts, food, etc at or under your table.
2 practice tables will be located in the Pit with a LigerBot monitoring it (sign ups). We will allow other fields in the practice area BUT if it gets too crowded we will ask some teams to put away their mats. If we can’t find you, the mats will be rolled up. Mats in other areas of the Pit or school are not allowed. Please share your mats. We’re a little low on pig wheels, can’t guarantee they will be on the practice field J
Charging station will be at the far wall by the interior windows in the practice area. We don’t have enough outlets for everyone at their tables. Your batteries should be fully charged with extras. I believe there are a few outlets throughout the Pit area. As a past FLL coach, I would bring a 6 outlet power strip so others can share the outlet with me. Our safety captain will be walking through the pit and moving things if it’s an issue.
Announcements will be made in the Pit, BUT teams need to move on their own. I emailed out everyone’s schedule. Please distribute to the team. Someone should be wearing a watch. (In a new school you would think the clocks would have the same time, but no they don’t. We cover clocks that have the wrong time. Not sure how many that leaves in the Pit).
We will have activities/booths for kids outside the pit in the exhibit hall including 3D printer, FRC team(s), FLL Jr team, and some other groups/companies with hands on activities.
